Applications for WSJ Poland 2027 or Tour of Europe
04/06/2025
By Lauren Wheeldon
In our county, Hereford & Worcester, have one unit (36 Young people ages 14-18yrs plus four leaders) allocated to attend the 2027 WSJ in Poland along with the Units from all other UK Counties/Areas.
This means we only have 36 available spaces and we need to ensure fairly and appropriately who gets to go. We also know that if young people aren’t selected, this shouldn’t stop any Explorer (or Explorer to be) from missing out. So, we are also offering another trip at the same time involving 3 weeks of touring via interrailing across Europe and hopefully visiting the jamboree as a Day visitor. We will be sending out further details for leaders who wish to join the interrail trip and how it will work in due course.
Participants can also choose just to come on the inter-rail trip as well in 2027 and not apply for a place in the jamboree youth unit.
Who is eligible?
To participate as a young person in the World Scout Jamboree Poland 2027, individuals must be between 14 and 17 years old at the time of the event, which takes place from July 30 to August 8, 2027. This means they must be born between July 30, 2009, and July 30, 2013.
This date range is the same for those wishing to participate in the inter-rail trip too.

Full details explaining the trip, the process and how to apply can be found here. Please let your Scouts, Young Leaders and Explorers know and share the word across our county. We would like every eligible young person the opportunity to consider.
Please forward this information on to our young people, via your social media, OSM and messaging channels.
