Compass self-checking
I would like to thank all leaders and supporters who are now taking time to check their own Compass profiles, and making themselves aware of when their S and SG training is becoming due for renewal. This also applies to DBS and Activity and NA Permits.
Parental Consent to Activities
I know that a great many of you do this already, but it always worth remembering that parents have the right to know not only what we are doing with their children, but also what that entails, what are its risks, and what we are doing to mitigate those risks. So, always make sure that the programme for each term is shared with parents and guardians, and that each section night or activity is covered by a risk assessment/s which is available for them to read. This is a relatively simple process on OSM, but for those who do not use OSM, its important that this is built into your parent communication process. Any questions, I’ll be happy to help.
