District Events Update
This Term: extremely busy, thanks to the Section Lead Volunteers and their teams
-
Pledged Plod 5th October – lovely day with beautiful weather included as usual. Fabulous turnout
-
Bald Eagle (Scouts) 11th – 13th October - huge event held here at Rhydd, huge thanks to the Rhydd team, and special congratulations to the Wolverley Dragons from WF4 who once again excelled for our district, coming 2nd in the whole event, and 1st in the day bases.
-
Cubs Halloween Campfire and Badge Day 19th October at Rhydd
-
Beavers Halloween Event 26th October at Rhydd
So, for the first time we have held 2 Halloween events - again thanks to all involved, both amazing events which the young people absolutely love.
-
Rhydd Colour Run, all sections, 27th October – thanks to everyone, photos were amazing, to be repeated.
-
Remembrance Day Parade, excellent turn-out, very proud of all Scouts and Explorers who attended. Organisation was a bit hit and miss by RBL, and the cancellation of free parking for leaders was very sad and unnecessary.
-
Camp Cockerel – large event for Explorer Scouts from all over the County and Birmingham, run, hosted and organised by Wyre Forest District. A huge undertaking, and my sincerest thanks to all the District Teams who all who worked so hard to make this happen, especially with the Rhydd Team missing key roles.
