Those dates not suitable, then please go here First Aid Training | Scouts Hereford & Worcester (scoutshw.org.uk)  and you will see courses elsewhere in the County or the "Hampshire Model" an online session to cover module 10a. The next module 10b can be completed locally. Demand for these FREE courses is bound to be high as we move into Transformation so please take the opportunity to book early. Check your compass record to see when your renewal is due.

Contact Faith directly faith@westoaks.org.uk for further information or look in the Training Diary page on Hereford and Worcestershire Scouts website for alternative FA courses outside of the district.  Remember to check when your FA expires and book in good time to avoid travelling.

Reminder that under Transformation, First Response will be mandatory for:

  • Group Lead Volunteers
  • Section Team Leaders
  • Section Team Members
  • District 14-24 Team Leaders

  • In other words, ALL face-to-face leaders and team members.

  • There are a small number of volunteers in the District who are not compliant, please check Your Membership on the Scout system if you are unsure about your status.

Hi All,

Please remember Groups should all now be providing a marshal from each section to stand by the cones to slow cars coming in to Rhydd.

This is a safety measure to keep everyone safe and stated in the risk assessment.

The risk assessment can be found here under car parks - Risk Assessments – Rhydd Covert Scout Campsite

Risk Assessments – Rhydd Covert Scout Campsite

Risk Assessments Below are the Activity Risk Assessments for use on Rhydd Covert with our equipment. If you need any further information please email us on bookings@rhyddcovert.org.uk Air Pistol Shooting - Air Rifle Shooting - All Terrain Boards - Age - 10.5 upwards to use

www.rhyddcovert.org.uk

It does not have to be a leader, you can use a parent, but please ensure the adult stood there has a hi vis on.

We will be carrying spot checks out to ensure everyone is supplying a marshal on their section nights.

On some evenings there could be up to 6/8 marshals stood there, the more the better, do not leave it up to other groups to supply the marshal for you.

For all leaders cars that drive down to the lower site please remember the speed limit is 5mph on site.

Thank you for your support.

Yours in Scouting

Kathy
